Journal of Library & Information Studies (ISSN 1606-7509) is an open access international journal. It is published twice a year by the Department of Library & Information Science of the National Taiwan University. As a research journal, JLIS publishes solid and sound empirical study reports, literature reviews, and theoretical discourses in library science, information science, computer science, bibliography, documentation, archives, instructional technologies, and other related fields.
JLIS was formerly known as the National Taiwan University Journal of Library Science. It was first published in 1967 and was the first scholarly journal for library science researchers in Taiwan. The journal was renamed in 1999 in order to represent the expanding scope and diverse interests in the current library and information communities. Today, JLIS adopts double-blind peer-review in its evaluation of all received manuscripts. It is considered as one of the best LIS scholarly journals in the Chinese speaking world. It has been ranked by the National Science and Technology Council as a top class journal in humanities and social sciences. It is also indexed in international well-known databases included: Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Scopus, LISA, and LISTA.
JLIS is a forerunner of open access journals. In 1997 it began to make its content freely available via the Internet. JLIS also follows The Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI): "its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself." Today, the journal is published simultaneously in print and electronic formats and is archived in the National Taiwan University Journal Database for permanent preservation and public access.
《圖書資訊學刊》（ISSN 1606-7509）為國立臺灣大學圖書資訊學系出版之研究型期刊，刊載圖書館學、資訊科學、目錄學、檔案學、教學科技等相關領域之中英文學術論文，提供高品質的研究發表空間與學術交流管道。
本刊創刊於1967年，原刊名為《圖書館學刊》，為臺灣第一本圖書館學研究型期刊。為充分反映數位時代圖書資訊研究領域之變遷，本刊於1999年改為現名，並採用嚴謹的雙匿名同儕審查制度，以提升本刊內容品質。
目前，本刊為臺灣圖書資訊學領域學術品質最佳的期刊之一，在國家科學及技術委員會人文社會科學研究中心的期刊排序中，本刊長年榮列圖資學門之一級期刊；2017、2019、2022年皆獲評為人社期刊評比第一級，收錄為社會科學核心期刊（TSSCI）。
本刊並收錄於國際知名索引與摘要資料庫，包括：Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index（ESCI）、Scopus、LISA及LISTA。
為擴大學術影響力、加速學術傳播效益，本刊於1997年就已將內容全文上線，是為開放取用（Open Access）之學術性期刊；本刊並恪守「布達佩斯開放近用提議（Budapest Open Access Initiative, BOAI）」，亦即本刊文章「可透過公共網路免費使用，不受經濟、法律與技術等障礙限制，允許使用者閱讀、下載、複製、傳播、列印、檢索，或連結全文、製作文獻的索引、將文獻以資料形式傳送到軟體，或其他任何合法使用。」本刊採紙本與線上同步出版，所有在本刊刊出之文章，均可透過本刊網站及國立臺灣大學學術期刊資料庫免費取得。
