Children's magazines are an important part of children's reading materials, however, currently neither our libraries nor our readers have fully and effectively utilized this type of media. This essay briefly deals with the relationship between children's magazines and children's literature, the development of Chinese children's magazines and American children's magazines until the present, the American comic magazine, and the selection and use of children's magazines; and attempts to provide the library profession and other concerned with up-to-date information on this media as well as to focus their attention to it.
